The NEW GoPro Her4 Black can shoot at a massive 4k at 30fps and 1080p at 120fps. This is the highest specification for a GoPro yet and will mean that the video shot will be impressive! However the issue with shooting at these resolutions and rates is that the memroy card (SD Card) must be fast enough to handle the data that the GoPro is trying to write to it! !!<

GoPro - SD Card Sizes, What does it mean?!!<

Both the GoPro Hero3+ and Hero4 Cameras require a Class 10 MicroSD card up to 64GB in capacity. So what do some of the terms mean? * MicroSDHC - The HC meaans High Capacity which is up to 32GB * MicroSDXC - The XC means Extra Capacity which is over 32GB * Class10 - The marking is a C with 10 inside it, this card is suitable for Full HD (1080p) video recording and consecutive stills, minimum performance is 10MB/s write speed. * UHS - The marking is in addition to the Class 10 Marking and is a U with a 1 in the Centre, suitable for Real-time broadcast a laregr HD or 4K video. Minimum of 10MB/s GoPro recommends Class 10 UHS SD cards as a minimum. !!<

GoPro officially recommend 2x64GB cards and 2x32GB cards. Other brands cards do work with GoPro but you must ensure that the card has sufficient write speed, generally look out for the Class 10 - U 1 markings on other brands. * Ensure you are buying genuine SD cards from reputable dealers like Teign Diving Centre, Dive Shop Online! * Test your card to ensure it works well before putting your best ever video onto a card that cant take it! * Sandisk "Ultra" cards dont work too well with GoPro Her3 upwards although Class 10 their write speed is too slow and ends up with stalled footage! * DONT use SD cards for long term storage upload to a computer or store footage on a removable hard drive!
