This Baselayer is made using Activated Carbon derived from bamboo and can be worn alone as a cooling technical layer, perhaps for sailing or boating in the summer months or under a Neoprene dysuit to keep the chill off and absorb moisture from perspiration. Alternatively, and perhaps more commonly in the UK for Divers, the i2 Baselayer can be worn under an Undersuit, a Thermal Midlayer or an outer shell for thermal insulation. Activated bamboo charcoal is naturally and permanently anti-bacterial. It has an extraordinary microstructure that is highly porous and creates a highly absorbtive capacity after carbonisation, and becomes even more effective after activation. !!<

Why Are Base Layers So Effective/Important?!!<

Baselayers help maintain the performance of Undersuits and Mid layer Thermals, such as Fourth element Artics or Xerotherms, by wicking moisture away! Moisture caused by activity, perspiration/sweat! makes Thermal Clothing and Undersuits less effective as water on the surface of the skin, takes heat away from the body 20-25 times faster than air so if we can use Baselayers to Wick the moisture away then the Thermal Layers are allowed to work more effectively! Equally at home and beneficial under a Diving Drysuit or a Surface Watersports/Sailing Drysuit! !!<
